Grainne originally trained as a psychiatric nurse but after the birth of her third child in 2011 felt she needed to improve her work/life balance. She sought a new challenge that would allow her to use her creative skills.

Grainne won an Honorary Mention at the prestigious Silver Accessories Contest 2019. Her winning work "Save the Bees" has been exhibited in Tokyo, Japan this spring.

Grainne describes her work life now: "I enjoy nothing more than creating bespoke and one-off pieces alongside my regular keepsake jewellery. In 2014 I won a ‘Handmade in Dorset award’ which I am very proud of, it’s wonderful to have your creativity recognised and celebrated. Having the chance to pass on my passion and knowledge for this wonderful medium is very exciting and I enjoy it immensely."
