Demo & talks

On Friday 17th October it is time for our demo day. We have five great demo and talk slots lined up for you. ​​​

Between the demo slots there will be time for socialising, refreshments, including a buffet lunch, and shopping opportunities. And over lunch there will be some give-aways and fun!

​Wanaree's demo:

Learn how to make quick and easy yet beautifully ornate charms with Wanaree’s suite of Signature Tools - including some brand new, unreleased tools being introduced exclusively at YMCI! Some of the techniques Wanaree will cover may be things like: laminating layers and die cut element design simplified, mini mandala charm, pierced hollow form pyramid, cube hollow form Pandora type beads charms or using 950 sterling silver open links for cold connecting drop charms to a bracelet.  ​​

Patrik's demo:

Patrik is the master of textures, you may already have seen his stunning range at TextureSmith.com. Patrik will chat a little about setting up this venture and the thinking behind his textures, but also show you how you can find magical textures all around you. Your house (and life) is full of textures, in this demo Patrik show you how to find them, and what to do with them

Etsuko's demo:

Learn some absolute top-tips for making your metal clay work designs easier, and speedier. You will see some of the techniques Etsuko's use for her lace and botanical designs, and a few more exciting tricks you do not want to miss! We've spent a little time seeing Etsuko whizz through how she creates some of her decorative designs - it is impressive and so inspiring! By the way, Etsuko is a syringe queen, if you've ever been unsure about using a syringe (or don't even understand the point of them!), this demo is for you.

Pam East's demo:

Pam East is joining us for the day! Pam will be giving a talk and demonstrating how to use her extensive range of products. We've also heard some whispers that she'll be unveiling something new and exciting - join us to be part of the exclusive launch at the event!

JUST ANNOUNCED - Petra Cameron's demo:

And as a last minute addition, Metal Clay Ltd's own Petra will showcase the marvels of Keum-Boo! She'll share her top-tips and expertise for adding gold to silver. If you've been worried about working with gold, ever wanted to add a little extra wow to your work, or maybe thought it was incredibly complicated to add gold accents to your silver - Petra will show you just how easy it is. You'll leave feeling confident to have a go yourself.
